Edward J. Baysden - Chief Executive Officer. Manages The Chamber's day-to-day operations and leads The Chamber's staff towards achieving the goals, objectives, functions, and programs of the annual program of work within budget. He provides monthly updates to the Board of Directors and community leaders, and programs both the Annual Planning Retreat and the Annual Meeting. Baysden serves as the primary spokesperson and marketing coordinator for The Chamber.

Shearin A. Johnson - Chief Operating Officer. Focuses on coordinating the annual Business Expo, The Chamber's Annual Planning Retreat, Industry Appreciation programs and events, and the Annual Economic Forecast Symposium. Joining The Chamber in 1980, Johnson also serves as staff liaison for the NorthEastern Entrepreneurial Roundtable (NEER), the Carolinas Gateway Chapter of the North Carolina World Trade Association, the Executive Roundtable program, and the Small Business Council which sponsors Small Business Week activities and other management assistance seminars and workshops.

Alan Matthews - Vice President of Business Recruitment. Serves in a contract function between The Chamber and the City of Rocky Mount to provide expansion and relocation evaluation to existing and emerging businesses with a focus on recruiting and encouraging new businesses. Matthews provides information on what properties are available in the area and conducts identification of market needs and voids through research and identifying potential vendors and support services for existing businesses. Services include providing readily available statistical, demographic and economic information, as well as information on cities policies and procedures and workforce information to attract new enterprises to the Rocky Mount-Nash-Edgecombe area.

Julia Farmer - Vice President of Membership Sales. Bookkeeping and Account Management are primary duties for Farmer who began work at The Chamber in 1997. Responsibilities are to ensure accurate accounting procedures, generate and maintain financial reports, oversee investment accounts and banking relationships, and manage all payroll and benefits processing. Beyond preparing income and expense statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses, additional duties include coordinating the financial audits and assisting with the annual budget preparation.

Linda A. Mann, CPS - Office Manager. Started at The Chamber in 1983 and has responsibility for collecting, entering and maintaining all membership database information as well as membership billing, program attendance rosters, and all membership mailings. Mann's duties also include office equipment contract maintenance, purchasing, inventory control and regular postage compliance and reporting. All networked computer records are safeguarded by Mann who also maintains group Fax controls and directories.
