Holiday Festival of Trees at the Imperial Centre

The Chairman's Holiday Ball will also once again incorporate a very special display of beautifully decorated Christmas trees, which are sponsored by area businesses. The Holiday Festival of Trees of exquisitely decorated trees, positioned throughout areas of the Imperial Centre, will also serve as a holiday showcase for the community to enjoy from just after the Thanksgiving holiday to the New Year; and local florists and citizens are being engaged again for decorating the Christmas trees. The facilities Art Center and Children's Museum will be open throughout the evening to enable guests the opportunity to either visit for the first time or see new exhibits scheduled for display. The event is a Signature Series event of The Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce and as with other Signature events, promises to be an exclusive, one-of-a-kind event for the community's enjoyment and celebration of the holiday season.

2007 Chamber Chairman Russell Proctor and Tar River Orchestra and Chorus Chairman Dr. Dan Crocker are thrilled with the continuation of this special partnership opportunity to host an event that combines the holiday, the city's wonderful cultural arts facility and the tradition of the Tar River Orchestra and Chorus League for a wonderful December night in the community.

Sharing his excitement, Chamber Chairman Proctor stated, "The inaugural event was a huge success and thanks to a returning and dedicated Ball committee, many details have been carefully planned out to make the 2nd Annual Ball even better. If you were not there last year you missed a great time and certainly need to make plans to get your ticket for the December 8 event – you’ll not want to miss it."

Dr. Dan Crocker also shared his excitement noting, "We couldn't be more pleased with the continuation of this partnership with The Rocky Mount Area Chamber and are proud to bring the Chairman's Holiday Ball to our respective members and to the community. The inaugural event showed us that our community does like to celebrate the great cultural accomplishments achieved here and the holiday time is a wonderful time to do just that - a time when citizens reflect on what the year has brought and the hopes and cheers for the New Year ahead."
