To improve the overall development of business in the Twin County area through sponsorship of programs/events, creating interaction with and formation of partnerships to stimulate economic growth.
Division produces/manages Chamber special events; each event has its own committee
Business Recruitment Division
Vice Chair, Charlie Wells, Southern Bank
Create jobs in the retail, professional and service sectors; and to support community effort to revitalize Historic Downtown Rocky Mount through pursuit of private and public/private investment.
Division identifies and locates new businesses in the Twin County area through the effective use of targeted research, marketing and planning; and interfaces with affiliates Carolinas Gateway Partnership and Downtown Renaissance as needed for recruitment and developemnt of prospects.
Business Services-Corporate & Industry Division
Vice Chair, Ken Anderson, Cummins Rocky Mount Engine Plant
Active engagement with corporate/industry sector to better support business needs, to help indoctrinate business leaders and young professional recruited to the area, and to encourage involvement in Chamber work and progbrams that are relevant to this sector.
Division works to plan discussions and events directed to this sector of business, usually hosting tow-to-three events during the year.
Vice Chair, Reuben Blackwell, O.I.C., Inc.
To educate the community as to the fundamental importance of quality education (K-12) to economic development; be an active partner in achieving desired outcomes with public, private and parochial schools; and regularly attends School Board meetings.
Division works to host an educational forum onworkforce readiness; and will explore and advocate for initiatives that create and support improved outcomes.
Public Policy Division
Vice Chair, Dee Whitley, Battle Winslow Scott & Wiley
To serve as the "Voice of Business" in areas of public policy and to promote discussion on political issues as they are deemed to impact our business climate and community; regularly attends City Council meetings and NC delegation to Washington, DC; and communicates legislation of interest to membership via local, state and federal information/committee research.
Division works to host a legislative forum and discussions with legislative and/or congressional Representatives.
Membership Development Division
Vice Chair, Becky Parks, Parks Agency- Nationwide
To gain and retain membership, maintaining open and constant dialogue and effectively communicating Chamber value to the member and to the community. Directs Ambassador program, engaging volunteers in ribbon cuttings, Chamber events and direct member communications in an effort for increased participation by the membership.
Division committee work consists of a New Member Sales Campaign in the Spring to grow membership base and communicate the value of the Chamber to the community and member retention and communication.
Business Services - Small Business Division
Vice Chair, Roger Taylor, Roger G. Taylor & Associates
To determine, nurture and support the needs of small business members in the Twin County area through various initiatives and programs, i.e. S.C.O.R.E., "Buy Local", Small Business Month activities and Banquet, forums and surveys.
Division seeks to learn small business member needs, Challenges and issues; hosts surveys and forums to maintain open dialogue, generate more involvement and to keep small business climate healthy. Assists with Small Business Month activities and Banquet.
Vice Chair, Sharon Crestetto, Community Advocate
To promote and encourage the development, revitalization, reinvestment and beautification of all areas of the City of Rocky Mount; to engage with City efforts in establishing, a citywide branding initiative; and to engage in initatives that support future economic development and community growth.
Division serves to advocate for areas fo development that will position our community as an attractive place to live, learn, work and play.

Becoming an Ambassador for The Chamber is an extremely rewarding experience that brings great connectivity and exposes the participant to business leaders and their representatives. An Ambassador becomes knowledgeable about The Chamber's Program of Work that focuses on many critical elements that impact economic development and continued propertity for the area.
